Danish operator TDC, which trades under the YouSee brand, said eight out of ten Danes check the quality of mobile and broadband connectivity when choosing a new home. A YouGov survey of 1,006 people aged 18 or older found that 86 percent of respondents are concerned about these issues. One in four respondents would be willing to pay more for a residence with good coverage.
TDC said estate agents and lettings companies should highlight mobile and internet connectivity in the property advertisements, especially for residences outside larger towns.
Laust Farver of residential property site Boliga.dk said there are 65,000 homes currently for sale, but only one in five advertisements mentions mobile reception, and broadband only comes up in 147 adverts.
